Haynes 230/UNS N06230 sheet/bar/pipe
HAYNES 556 is an iron-nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy that combines several excellent properties that make it resistant to vulcanization, carburizing and chlorine-containing environments at high temperatures. The alloy is also corrosion resistant to molten chloride salts and other salts, and resistant to corrosion by molten zinc. Its ease of processing and good high-temperature strength make it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

Features: Haynes 230 combines excellent high temperature strength, outstanding resistance to oxidizing environments up to 1149℃ for prolonged exposure, premier resistance to nitriding environments, and excellent long term thermal stability. It has low thermal expansion than most high temperature alloys, and good resistance to grain coarsening with prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

Applications: Gas turbine engine combustion cans, transition ducts, after-burners, flameholders and thermocouple sheaths; high temperature heat exchangers; and industrial furnace heat resistant components.

Note: Haynes and 230 are registered trademarks of Haynes International, Inc.
