Nimonic 901/Nickel Alloy 901
NIMONIC® alloy 901 (UNS N09901/ W.N.R.2.4662) is an age-hardened nickel-iron-chromium ultra-high temperature alloy containing large amounts of molybdenum, titanium, and aluminum. Depending on the final application and customer specifications, the alloying process for the high performance material may include vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting and electroslag remelting. Typically, the alloy is used for gas turbine engine discs, shafts, rings, housings, and seals with a maximum service temperature of approximately 600°C (1100°F).
Gold 901 is an age-hardening ultra-high temperature alloy containing titanium and aluminum for precipitation hardening and molybdenum for solid solution strengthening. Alloy 901 has high yield strength and creep resistance, and remains stable at temperatures of about 1110°F (600°C). Due to the high iron content of alloy 901, it is able to combine strength with good forging properties. Alloy 901 is commonly used in gas turbine engine platters, shafts, rings, housings and seals.

Product Details

Alloy 901 is an age-hardenable super alloy which contains Titanium and Aluminium for precipitation hardening and molybdenum for soild-solution strengthening. Alloy 901 has high yield strength and creep resistance at temperatures to about 1110°F (600°C). As Alloy 901 has a substantial iron content it enables alloy 901 to combine strength with good forging characteristics. Alloy 901 is commonly used for gas turbine engine discs, shafts, rings, casings and seals.
